Pipe Dream Denied

Random thoughts while wondering what ever happened to Bob Boozer:

Hey! We finally caught somebody!

A Kenyan couple is in big trouble after having sex in a mosque during Ramadan.  Apparently, they were drunk and thought they were in a rooming house.  The couple was discovered when strange noises were heard coming from the Mosque.  Is it just me or if the noises appear strange you just aren’t doing it enough?

In New Mexico, two Burger King Employees were jailed after serving up a couple of burgers with marijuana on them to some police officers.  Gives a new meaning to the phrase “secret sauce” doesn’t it?  And it absolutely explains why that Burger King mascot is so wacky.

A Georgia woman has been charged with a DUI after steering a horse into traffic and mixing it up with a car.  The horse has declined to talk to the media and will only speak with Wilbur Post.

A Florida woman has been awarded $11.3 million in a defamation lawsuit against a woman who posted messages on the Internet accusing her of being a "crook," a "con artist" and a "fraud."  Eventually, people are going to need to learn to protect themselves in BLOGS and in chat rooms.  The key thing is to make sure you state specifically that something is “in your opinion.”  I don’t think the courts can outlaw opinion yet, but I’m sure the Bush administration is working on it.  But it does ruin the whole idea of free speech.  The problem is not that people post this stuff, the problems is that the people reading it believe it without proof.

A new survey completed by laceType w:st="on">UniversitylaceType> of laceName w:st="on">MarylandlaceName> emergency physician David Jerrard showed about 50 percent more men registered in emergency rooms after a football game than during the event itself.  The exception came among Green Bay Packer fans who have been leaving the games in the third quarter the last two seasons.

PETA is calling for Six Flags in to cancel a scheduled cockroach eating contest that has been planned for Halloween.  PETA spokesperson Jackie Vergerio said "Insects do not deserve to be eaten alive especially for a gratuitous marketing gimmick,"

Excuse me?  A cockroach doesn’t deserve?  What does a cockroach deserve?  Three hots and a cot?  Full and unfettered access to my basement?  A beach house in Barbados?  The only thing a cockroach deserves is to see the bottom of my foot coming down on its head.

In a statement, a lawyer for the cockroaches has asked that PETA “stay the hell out of it.”

Finally,
Mexico's Teotihuacan is set to become the launch pad for an attempt to communicate with extraterrestrial life
.  The Teotihuacan was once the center of pre-Hispanic life.

People from around the world will have the opportunity to contribute text, art and other forms of communication.  The artifacts will then be beamed into space hoping to attract extraterrestrials and educating them on Mexican culture.

Extraterrestrials finding the artifacts can then follow a beam which will lead them over the US border at 3am.
