Florida Onslaught Leaves Experts Scratching Their Heads
Random thoughts while wondering what ever happened to Rosaire Paiement:
Did anyone get the number of the number of the semi-truck with the Florida license plates that rolled over Ohio State Monday night? You would think a nationally hyped huge game like this would at least be competitive. Instead, it seemed like a first round NFL playoff game.
The most impressive thing about the Gators was their defense. Nobody saw that coming. Nobody saw Troy Smith running for his life all night and having very little success. Ohio State has speed to be sure, but it is Big ten speed, not SEC speed. It's one thing when you can outrun Michigan, but is clearly another to try to do it to Florida or LSU.
Being Ron Zook sucks. The guy goes out, populates Florida with great athletes and then gets the hook before he can bring it to fruition. Urban Meyer comes in and wins a title in two years with 20 of 22 starters from Zook and is now (for lack of a better term) an Urban legend. Meanwhile, Zook gets none of the credit for a job well done and creating a foundation that was capable of winning, it just had to mature a little bit. Instant gratification is a fact of life these days. I feel your pain my brother.
I am thrilled that Mark McGwire is not going to the hall of fame. Even if he wasn't doped up, he still was a one-dimensional player. The premium on home run hitters is certainly not what it used to be as 500 and perhaps even 600 now don't mean very much in an era of juiced balls, juiced players and hitter friendly ballparks. There is however no doubt that Cal Ripken and Tony Gwynn are worthy first ballot selections. Hopefully, the veterans committee will do something for Ron Santo.
So, if it doesn't work out for current Coach Terry Stotts, is this the next coach of the Milwaukee Bucks?
The BCS Championship Game muted the battle of titanic heavyweights.
Can you say "glue"?
You'd have to be Stevie Wonder to not have seen this coming.
Great idea. I wonder who thought of it?
There is no one in Chicago history, outside of Al Capone, who is notorious as this guy. Okay, maybe this guy, but for a while there it was a total double team. And, they are much less dangerous apart than together. This guy, on the other hand, made all that necessary.
Wies, wies, all of it wies from that waskally weporter. At least that's Twump's story. No doubt that watings wule at the expense of weputations.
And, while marriage is expensive, you could say that this one is on the House.
