Hard to get a Reid
Random thoughts while wondering what ever happened to Duane Josephson:
The Colts-Ravens game should be shown in sleep clinics for patients with insomnia. How Baltimore couldn't move the ball against that Colt defense is truly a mystery. Who's calling plays anyway for Baltimore. Oh, Brian Billick. Brian, get an O-Corr fast, huh?
The Saints-Eagles game was far more fun. The thing that confused me is with a minute and a half left, down three, Andy Reid elects to punt the ball instead of go for it on fourth down. Andy, you are down three. Even if you don't convert, you can hold them to a field goal which still makes it a one possession game. After the game, Reid said perhaps he should have gone for it. You think? This from a man who once denied the Packers by converting on fourth and 26. Yeesh.
I wonder if Roger Goodell has been on the phone with David Stern to find out how to fix the outcome of the playoffs.
Did anyone happen to see the girl on TV (FOX) in the first quarter with the F*&^ the Eagles shirt on? I played it back and forth a couple of times just to make sure I had seen it correctly. Not only did Fox not dump the shot, they stayed on her for at least ten seconds. Let's see if the boys at the commission make this part of their selective enforcement process. Fox's defense will be that no one was looking at the words on her shirt. BTW, the chick looked like she was ready to flash which is why I think they held the camera on her so long.
Speaking of the Fox broadcast, is it just me or did is Dick Stockton developing some Pat Summerall like confusion symptoms?
Seems like everyone has an opinion on Rex Grossman.
Ask Rex who he wants to be when he grows up and he should say "Drew Brees." Unfortunately, right now, Rex is more like Mike Tomczak.
