- If the White Sox have this much trouble with a team like the Royals that gives games away, what's going to happen this week with the Yankees and Cubs? The series concludes this afternoon at US Cellphone Field.
- Yesterday, Milwaukee Brewer fans wondered how their team would react following a tough loss to the New York Mets Friday night. Here's your final answer.
- NASCAR postpones the Darlington Race until this afternoon because of rain. Junior gets flagged because of wing nuts.
- Senator Sam Brownback is either oblivious to the room or just plain oblivious. Next thing you know, he'll extol the virtues of California cheese.
- Todd Walker, the same guy who filed a grievance against the Padres for cutting him at the end of spring training. Yesterday, he was cut by the A's and says his career may be over. Isn't that why the Padres cut you in the first place, Todd?
- Bobby Cox is now the fourth winningest manager in baseball history. Regular season only.
- Parents in Tennessee are outraged their kids were put through a five minute terror drill at school that "scared their children." One of the things we heard over and over again about Va. Tech was "why didn't people do anything?" I think these teachers are heroes trying to train these kids to react during a terror attack. I think the parents should thank them, not complain.

- Here's a political first: "I said the wrong thing during the debate because my hearing aid was dead." Well, where I come from Governor (which is just south of where you come from but better) if you aren't bright enough to put a fresh battery in your hearing aid right before an important debate, you may not be bright enough to be President.
