I've Got To Get A Message To You

Last night, Yankee Manager Joe Torre won his 2000th game as a big league manager.  Nicely done for a guy who some thought would never get close to that after failures with the Braves and Cardinals.  But it does prove if you give a good guy a chance to redeem himself, he can and often does.

One of the keys to Torre's early success with the Yankees was his bench coach, Don Zimmer, a crusty old baseball guy.  Now that Torre has hit the milestone, you have to think that Zimmer will somehow attempt to communicate with Torre. Looking like a guy who thinks the "internet" is something used to catch fish and a "cell phone" is a device used by inmates to call their Mamas on Sunday, Zimmer will most likely resort to an old school method to let Torre know his good wishes.

Will he:
a) send a Hallmark card
b) wire a telegram
c) send smoke signals
d) dispatch greetings by pony express
e) find a carrier pigeon
f) message in a bottle
g) beat a tom tom
