How many chances can one person have before you throw your hands in the air and say enough?   It appears that all the enabling done by Bears GM Jerry Angelo and Bears head coach Lovie Smith on behalf of wayward defensive tackle Tank Johnson have backfired once again.

Johnson, already handed an eight game suspension by NFL commissioner Roger Goodell after a probation violation landed him in Cook County jail, was stopped night at 3:30am by police in Arizona for speeding and possibly driving impaired.

Johnson had just returned to his home state after participating in OTAs.

Johnson was administered a blood test which may take two to three weeks to get back.  Johnson was not immediately charged with drunk driving.

Unless something changed recently, it was my understanding that Johnson had a suspended driver's license as well.  I know that it was at the time of his arrest in November.

Johnson, who was nabbed on weapons charges last year, was present when his bodyguard, Willey Posey, was shot and killed at a Chicago club.  For that, Johnson was suspended by the Bears.  A judge allowed Johnson to participate in the Bears super bowl loss to the Colts.

Memo to Jerry Angelo: Get rid of this guy NOW!  He's bad news and he obviously talks out of both sides of his mouth saying how he has changed and then getting into more trouble.  The truth is, if 30 days in the slammer won't cure him, nothing will.  Cut the cord NOW.
