At the risk of being self-serving, today marks the first anniversary of Chip Shots.  Since I've seen many other blogs pat themselves on the back over an anniversary, I figured I'd jump off the bridge too.

This blog would not be possible without the tremendous support of many people.  Over the course of the last year, I've been privileged to communicate with several outstanding blogs including "Awful Announcing", "Tremendous Upside Potential", "Babes Love Baseball" Foul Balls" and "TV Food Fan."  I've also got to do an extended fill in at "Bugs and Cranks."  Thank you all for recognizing this space in cyberspace.

One other huge thank-you is in order: To my patient and understanding wife, Princess.  Because I work during the day (most of the time) and she works at night (most of the time) we don't get to see each other much. And when you throw in the two to three hours a day I am working on this blog (and don't want to be bothered) she allows me the time and space I need to continue to produce drivel at an alarming rate.

As the saying goes: "Behind every mediocre loser writing crap on the internet, there is a patient and understanding woman who is looking out the window checking out the neighbor as he bends over to pick the weeds out of his lawn."
