Butkus D. Dogg's Friday Fearless Forecast Week 7

Last week I went 6-4, so I'm 35-25 over all.  Even the White Sox were incapable of going 10 games over .500, so I'm a pretty lucky dog.

I was 4-1 with the college games, losing only the LSU-Kentucky game, but took a big dump on the rug with the pros going 2-3.  I don't know who Stanley is and why he's steamed, but the Bald guy says he's coming over to clean up after me.

Our rules: Five college, five pro, no spread.

College

  • Cincinnati vs Pittsburgh-So, hear Wanstedt's got a lame leg.  Wasn't he already lame before this?  His team is and they are going down.  Take Cincinnati.
  • Tennessee vs. Alabama-This game could turn into a track meet as both these teams play matador defense, but at the end of the day, at the risk of Mama hauling my happy dog ass back to the pet store, I like the Vols.  Take Tennessee.
  • Florida vs. Kentucky-I've been wrong about the Wildcats a couple of times, but not this time.  LSU hangover + desperate Gators=Take Florida
  • Kansas vs. Colorado-Here's where Mark Mangino gets turned back into a pumpkin, even though he looks like one already.  Take Colorado.
  • Auburn vs. LSU-I think Auburn can give LSU some trouble offensively, but I think LSU's defense can make Brandon Cox look really, really bad.  Take LSU in a very low scoring game.

Pro

  • Atlanta vs. New Orleans-The Saints are back, and the Falcons suck. You may see Byron Leftwich by halftime of this game.  He won't do any good, but you may see him. Take New Orleans.
  • Tampa vs. Detroit-The Bucs are pretty good right now while the Lions can be handled.  I like Chucky's bunch and I advise you to take Tampa.
  • Minnesota vs. Dallas-I hope you enjoyed your big win last week Brad Childress, because it will not be two in a row against a wounded Cowboy squad still mad about getting hammered by New England last week.  Take Dallas.
  • Chicago vs. Philly-Until the Bears can show me they can stop the run, run the ball and tackle somebody once in a while, I'll be picking against them.  Take Philly.
  • Pittsburgh vs. Denver-I really, really like this Steeler team.  They are one of the most balanced teams in the AFC.  They are not New England good, but they are certainly better than Denver good.  Take Pittsburgh.
