Random Thoughts: Looking For Love In All The Wrong Places
Random thoughts while wondering whatever happened to Dann Howitt:
- Everybody wants a piece of Torii Hunter, Andruw Jones and Aaron Rowand. Nobody is paying any attention to the fact that Carl Crawford is still available. Kenny, that's your answer. And you'd still have money leftover to buy a new bullpen and buy Mike MacUseless a bus ticket.
- It's a crock of crap that the Bears aren't sure who they will start at quarterback this week against the Seahawks. The purpose of the drill is to confuse Seattle into preparing for the wrong starter. I hate to tell you this Lovie, but The Walrus is no idiot. And whomever you start Sunday better be able to put more than 17 points on the board, because after last night, this game looks like a rout before you even show up in Seattle. BTW, my intel tells me it's Rex.
- Say it ain't so: The NFL Network reports the Elderly Hillbilly may be around to torture the Bears for several more years. Knee pads for everyone!
- Lloyd Carr might have finally found a way to motivate his team to beat Ohio State: Quit. Les Miles, better take your winter coat out of storage. Thanks to EDSBS for the link.
- Congratulations to this year's NL rookie of the year: The Hebrew Hammer. And trust me, this kid deserves it. He is going to be some kind of good.
- Does it really matter who starts at quarterback for the Vikings if Purple Jesus can't play?
- Texas Tech football coach Mike Leach put his money where his mouth was and now it's costing him ten large. And you thought the Texas Tech coach that was going to get himself in hot water was Bob Knight, didn't you?
- This is what happens when your team suddenly starts winning.
- Wyoming's head coach apologizes for shooting the bird at his opponent. So, what? Can't we even flip people off anymore without it becoming a major news story? He didn't hit anyone, verbally swear at any one, cuss out a reporter, claim that he was a man, drive around naked through fast food windows, get caught with guns or pot or break anything. What exactly is the harm in what he did anyway? I just don't understand. It's a football game, people, not a political debate where Barrack Obama flips off Hillary Clinton. THAT would be news.

- OMG. First gas, now beer. Someone please make it stop.
