Butkus D. Dogg's Friday Fearless Forecast Week 14 (On a Thursday)

You know, this day early stuff is beginning to wear on me.  I have enough problems with the loud teenager and all of the loser boys she drags in here (and me having to bite them.  One of them actually made fun of my name.  I took a big chunk out of that guy.  It's okay, I have a rabies tag)  Then there's the fat dog stealing my food...still.

Now the bald guy is demanding that I turn my picks in early this week so I can pick the Bears game.  Why?  We live in freakin' Wisconsin, the damn game isn't on around here.  In fact, the neighbor dog didn't even know there was a game tonight.  She just kept muttering "I hope Brett's alright.  Brett has to be alright" and walked away dejectedly from the hydrant.

Last week, I was 6-4 thanks to some college games that turned out horribly wrong.  How does any team coached by Dave Wannstedt beat West Virginia?  Has Pitt been drug tested yet?  Overall, my record on the year is 76-54.

Here's the rules, five college and five pro. . .oh yeah, no more college until my Butkus D. Dogg's Bowl Spectacular on December 21.  So five pro, no spread.  Mr. and Mrs. America, let's go to press:

Pro
  • Chicago vs. Washington: Given the fact that the Bears can't stop the run, it seems to me that Clinton Portis is going to have a big night.  The question you have to ask yourself is who is going to screw up more in the fourth quarter, Rex Grossman or Joe Gibbs.  Given the fact Gibbs is in the hall of fame, I'll put my Milk-Bones on Rex.  Take Washington.
  • Oakland at Green Bay: The sad thing is the Elderly Hillbilly can beat the Raiders with one arm tied behind his back.  He'll be doing that literally this week.  Take Green Bay.
  • Dallas vs. Detroit: After a big win over Green Bay last week, will there be a letdown for the Cowboys?  Not against the Lions there won't be.  Take Dallas.
  • New York Giants vs. Philadelphia: Eli Manning showed me a lot last Sunday.  He kept his team in it until the very end.  Unfortunately for the Eagles, the very end of this game will be midway through the third quarter.  Take New York.
  • Pittsburgh vs. New England:  I think it's entirely possible that the Steelers could knock off the Patriots.  They have the running game and the defense to cause New England problems and they are a substantially better team than either the Eagles or the Ravens.  I said it was possible.  I didn't say it was probable.  Take New England.
