Butkus D. Dogg's Friday Fearless Forecast Week 15
Okay, I'm back on Friday, just like the Big Dog intended it to be. Talk about performance. Last week I ran the table at 5-0, bringing my season total to 81-54. I'm so stoked I could piss on the carpet. Wait, I do that anyway. One editorial correction from last week: Seeing as how the first bowl game is on December 20th, my bowl spectacular will be out on Wednesday, December 19th. Please look for it on a computer near you.
Our rules: 5 games straight up. Let's get to dogging:
- Jacksonville vs. Pittsburgh: The Jags are playing well while the Steelers are licking their wounds from getting their butts kicked vs. New England. Pittsburgh seems to be a resilient team, so I am going on the assumption that they rebound nicely. Take Pittsburgh.
- Baltimore vs. Miami: The Ravens have underperformed all year while the fish have not performed at all. No one expects the Dolphins to win this game. No one but me, that is. Maybe I'm getting a little cocky from going undefeated last week, but I just can't believe an NFL team can go 0-16. UPSET ALERT: Take Miami.
- Philadelphia vs. Dallas: The Cowboys are the closest thing the NFC has to the Patriots. The Eagles are just running out the string. Take Dallas.
- Detroit vs. San Diego: The Chargers have been playing very well lately, showing some real guts against Tennessee last week. The Lions are in a free fall and it doesn't look like that's going to stop anytime soon. Take San Diego.
- Chicago vs. Minnesota: The Vikings are fighting for a wild card and will pull out all the stops on Monday night against a Bears team that is reeling from injuries. Kyle Orton will see more blitzing than London in 1940. Purple Jesus and Chester Taylor will get off the bus running and keep it up all through the game, perhaps even running home after the game. Take Minnesota.
