Butkus D. Dogg's Friday Fearless Forecast (Week 18)

I was 2-3 last week thanks to the Vikings getting beat in OT and the Bears deciding to show up for once.  Overall I'm 88-62 on the year, not including the bowl games, which we will tally up next week.  Since there are 32 bowl games and I only have 16 toes, I need the bald guy to help me count.  It's a wonder I can type, let alone count, so just let it go.

I'm encouraged last night when I heard that the top caulker in Iowa was Huckleberry Hound.  The bald guy says if Huckleberry Hound gets elected, we're moving to Canada.  I hope he doesn't win, because it's cold up there, although if we moved to Quebec I could make friends on account of I'm French.

Only four games this week.  Let's make playoff history:

Washington vs. Seattle: Two of the great coaches of all time lock up in this one: Joe vs. the Walrus.  Washington is the hot team coming into the playoffs and sometime it's the hot hand that makes sense.  Take Washington.

Jacksonville vs. Pittsburgh: Ditto what I said about the hot hand.  Jacksonville has been smoking lately while Pittsburgh is playing like there is no wind left in their sails.  The biggest factor in this game is how the turf will be in Pittsburgh, but even so, the Jags are quickly becoming a force in the AFC.  Take Jacksonville.

New York vs. Tampa: One of two things will happen to the Giants after their near upset of the Patriots: They'll build on it or have a huge hangover and lose it against Tampa.  Here's thinking that Tampa will be a lot easier for them to deal with.  Take New York.

Tennessee vs. San Diego: Although the Chargers are not nearly as good as they were a year ago, they do have enough talent on both sides of the ball to easily dismiss a banged up Tennessee team.  Jeff Fisher is one of the most under rated coaches in the NFL, but he'd have to pull an eight foot rabbit out of his hat to win this week.  Take San Diego.
