Random Thoughts: Kenny Williams Gets Bit, Threatens Lawyers
Random thoughts while wondering whatever happened to Craig Grebeck:
- Leave it to Jay Mariotti to open a can of worms. Yesterday, Mariotti quoted Jose Canseco as saying that Kenny Williams indeed had full knowledge he was juiced. Kenny is not so convinced. Here's the sad part: When nobody wanted Canseco in 2001, Kenny gave him a shot. And how does he reward Kenny? Rats him out, even though Canseco's accounts of who he was injecting are cloudy (for example, Davey Martinez.) Now Kenny is threatening to hire a lawyer to shut Canseco up. Remember this next time you think reaching out your hand to help someone. Most of us have been burned at least once by someone we thought we were helping, only to get stabbed in the back. You would think a man who was telling the truth (Canseco) would take off his sunglasses once in a while.
- Kansas and Memphis make the final game of the big dance. Memphis easily dispatched UCLA while Kansas damn near choked away a 28 point lead. The smart money is on Memphis because Kansas is most likely drained from their effort on Saturday.
- Are Cub fans racist? When Bad Kermit attacks their sense of humor, something smells funny at Wrigley (besides the men's rooms.)
- Here's hoping Larry Munson recovers from his latest health setback. If you have never heard him or any of the other great SEC announcers (John Ward, John Forney, Paul Eels, etc.) you don't know what you are missing. This is local radio at its' absolute best.
- Moses finally arrives at the promised land.
