Chicago Bears alleged running back Cedric Benson was arrested in Texas for boating while intoxicated and resisting arrest.  This is the first time Benson has resisted someone trying to stop him in three years! (I'll be here all week folks, try the veal)

Obviously, the Bears just can't cut him because of the salary cap and because of the union, but they can at least realize the guy has issues and probably isn't worth keeping for this coming season.  Instead, the Bears can most likely pick up a veteran back cut during training camp, rookie Matt Forte and third down back Adrian Peterson.

The only downside to Benson's drunken boating is that he didn't invite Rex Grossman to go along with him.
