Orlando Cabrera's Incredible Time Travel Machine

U.S. Cellular field, seconds after Orlando Cabrera's game winning single scored DeWayne Wise for another Sox come from behind victory.  Doc Brown, clutching the controls to the Delorian, sees his young minion Marty McFly has just materialized.  As usual, Doc is excited.

Doc: Marty!  I'm glad you could finally join me!

Marty: Where are we Doc?

Doc: We're at U.S. Cellular Field in Chicago.  It's 2005 and the Chicago White Sox have won another close game.  I wonder what happens next!

Marty: Um, Doc, I hate to be a wet blanket, but in 2005 the Sox went on to win the AL Central and go 11-1 in the playoffs en route to their first championship in 88 years.

Doc: Thanks for letting the air out of my balloon, Marty.

Marty: But Doc.  It can't be 2005.

Doc: Why not?

Marty: Because in 2005, Orlando Cabrera played for the Angels.  In fact, the Sox beat them in the ALCS to go to the world series that year.

Doc: So exactly where are we then?

Marty: It's still 2008.  We haven't gone anywhere.  But with the White Sox pitching and bullpen being so good and their offense getting it together, it seems like 2005.  Especially when they get a couple of these snatching victory from the jaws of defeat wins.  This has 2005 written all over it.

Doc: So, we're still here in the present then?

Marty: Sorry, Doc.

Doc: Confound that flux capacitor!  Maybe we should move ahead a few months and see how this turns out.

Marty: Screw this, Doc.  I want to see if it works out for the Devil Rays!  And who picks up Shawn Chacon! Better yet, let's set the time machine to take us to the moment when the Cubs win the world series!

Doc: Sorry Marty.  I can only get the time machine to go up to the year 2310.

Marty: Oh, okay.

Doc: Quick Marty!  To the Delorian!
