Random Shots: When You Think All-Stars, Think Pink
Random shots while wondering whatever happened to Jose Paniagua:
When the Sox have need a win this year, the guy who went out and gave them innings and got it done was Pink Gavin Floyd. He beat Oakland last night for his 10th win which certainly should merit him some kind of all-star consideration. The Sox could use a similar performance this afternoon from John Danks as the Twinkies don't seem like they want to let up. BTW, if Floyd does make the all-star game, we will retire his nickname for the remainder of the season. - The Sox got good news about Bobby Jenks. Is it possible to pull fat?
- Speaking of closers, the Cubs can't be too happy with theirs. Lou sure isn't.
- Nice to see Derrick Rose is off to a flying start.with his new team. Is he still covered under warranty?
- Milwaukee restaurant owners, desperately needing an infusion in income, wait anxiously for word on if C.C. Sabathia will become a Brewer, There is no doubt that Brewers GM Doug Melvin has the best hand at the table, the question in will he continue in the game if the stakes go higher. - It used to be they would boo Jeff Gordon. Now it's Kyle Busch. I wonder if Rick Hendrick has any regrets over firing him for Junior. Nah. Hendrick still has three of the top ten cars and two of the top five. He just isn't first, which could all change with the chase.
