We Have Names In The Junior Deal

Mark Gonzalez is reporting in the Chicago Tribune that the players involved in the deal for Junior are: Nick Masset and Danny Richar.  This probably means a stay of execution for both Juan Uribe and Clayton Richards who could easily take Masset's spot on the roster when Jose Contreras comes back.

This tells us the price for a broken down future hall of fame outfielder are two young players that haven't lived up to their hype.

If that's it, then I'm okay with at least who Kenny gave up.  I don't suppose they'd take Javy Vazquez off the Sox hands, do you?

Junior has delayed approval of the deal to discuss things with the Sox, none of which are relevant to his contract.  He's probably asking about PT, where he would play and how it would impact the players the Sox already have.  He's probably also asking how committed they are to winning now.

I've also read that Oakland wants Aaron Poreda, the Sox top pitching prospect for Huston Street.  Kenny, slowly back out of the room and walk away.  You've given them enough pitchers this year already.

More on this as it becomes available or as I get annoyed with it.
