Opportunity Knocking Anyone Home? Bueller? Bueller?

It has now been determined, after 159 games, that the bridge to Bobby Jenks is two cliffs separated by a bottomless pit.

Last night, the White Sox fell in.

Leading the Indians, Ozzie Guillen went to his pen to hold off the Indians, fully knowing the Twins were getting hammered by the Royals.  This was the opportunity the Sox were looking for, a chance to reclaim the AL Central lead with three games left.  A pivotal moment in the season.  Now if the Sox could just put out the fire.

Red Adair couldn't put out the fire the Sox bullpen started.

Although John Danks gave up seven runs, D.J. Corrasco gave up a walk and then the game deciding grand slam to Ryan Garko.  Mike MacUseless walked three and hit a batter, yielding a run.  Later, Horatio Ramirez gave up another run.

The Sox ship had come in, but their bullpen was at the airport.  The good news is, so were the Twinkies.

Three left, ½ out, still time to fix it.  That is if the Sox don't have to go to the pen very often.
