When The Elderly Hillbilly finally retires and they hold a big party for him, you can bet your last bowl of grits that ESPN's Sal Palantonio won't be among those invited to the festivities. 

In a recent radio appearance on an Atlanta radio station, Sal Pal blasted the Hillbilly with a semi-automatic weapon.  He said that the Hillbilly's discussing Packers inside stuff with Matt Milen and the gang wasn't very smart, saying that "Favre was never that smart to begin with."  He also went on to say that the Hillbilly feels like not telling the truth is okay, even though some in the media might check the facts and prove otherwise. 

So, in what probably ran about ten minutes, Palantonio called the Hillbilly stupid, a liar, over rated and not a help to his current employer the New York Jets.  In other words, everything Chicago Bear fans have thought for years and Green bay Packer fans were afraid to admit. On a personal note, this whole conversation reminds me that Peter Brown (now with Sporting News Radio) is so far ahead of the curve on everything, it's amazing.

Let's hope Sal doesn't run into Peter King at Starbucks or Chris Mortensen at the ESPN studios or they may have to take it outside.
