White Sox Answer There for the Taking

If you have read the news reports, you have no doubt heard the rumblings regarding the Chicago White Sox.  Sox GM Kenny Williams, the master of the quick trade, has made it clear his team needs to get quicker.  In fact, Kenny is willing to dangle one of his prize acquisitions from last off season, Nick Swisher, as a way to accomplish that goal.

Rumors have the Sox drooling over Rockies center fielder Willy Taveras.  But Kenny, there is another way.  A better way.

Reports have the Rockies talking with the Rays about a potential Matt Holliday for Carl Crawford deal.  Never in my wildest fantasies did I ever think Crawford would be available, but there it was in black and white.

Kenny, I know you are a maverick, but this one time, please listen to me.  Trade for Carl "The Answer" Crawford.  He gives you speed.  "The Answer" gives you great defense.  "The Answer" gives you average and some power.  "The Answer" gives you stolen bases.  And best of all Kenny, "The Answer"  had an off year last year which is exactly the M.O. you look for.  Buy low and bring 'em back to life. You did it with Dye, Quentin and several others and you can do it with "The Answer".

Certainly the Rays might have some interest in Swisher.  Or a couple of young bullpen guys (Boone Logan, anyone.) They've got so many solid players in their farm system they have to move someone.  This is a situation made for you, Kenny.  Just swoop on in there and help them help you.

I've been after you for three years Kenny to go out and get this guy long, long before his team became better than your team and beat you in the ALDS.  This is your big opportunity to get a guy, whose under thirty and signed for a couple of years.

Please Kenny.  Please listen to me.  Just this one time.  I promise you won't be disappointed.
