Bears Need Pass RushTo Win In Mr. Rodgers Neighborhood

A couple of thoughts on the Bears vs. Packers from a Bear fan trapped behind the cheese curtain:

  • The Packers can't run the football to save their lives, so if the Bears try another game plan like they had against Tennessee last week, they will get the same result
  • Getting Kyle Orton back helps a lot as the Bears coaches don't restrict him like they do Rex Grossman.  Orton also makes better choices.
  • The key to the Bears on defense is to put as much pressure as possible on Aaron Rodgers.  Dropping him on his sore right shoulder a few times would be good as the Packers have no viable back up.
  • The Bears need to involve the tight ends on offense.
  • The Bears need to throw short, surgical passes.  The Green Bay secondary is good, but tends to leave a huge cushion.  Lost of passes underneath will get the job done.
  • Matt Forte needs to make his presence known early and often.
  • You need to hear Brain Urlacher and Lance Briggs names a lot.
  • The Packers have a good kick team.  The Bears need to make sure they have contain on kicks or punts or they will get burned.
  • The Bears need to generate some points off turn overs today. The Packers are prone to turn overs.
  • The Bears need to take advantage of Packer mistakes.  The Packers tend to get a lot of penalties and if they remain that way today, the Bears need to spin the field position into scoring gold.
  • I think the Packers will win due to their passing game and their solid group of receivers.
  • Both of the head coaches are stubborn and refuse to make in game adjustments.  It would be to their teams advantage if one of them blinked this week.
