White Sox Need To Get Centered

Ozzie Guillen was back in circulation Saturday talking about his team for 2009.  He didn't say much and for Ozzie was very unquotable.

The one thing he did say that concerned me is that he have a problem with Brian Anderson and Jerry Owens in center field next year.  Perhaps Ozzie is becoming diplomatic at his old age or Kenny Williams has given Ozzie some intel to keep him calm.

In any case, any lineup with Owens doing anything besides pinch running late in the game is unacceptable.

With any luck, Kenny Williams will find a major league quality center fielder/leadoff man/base stealer somewhere.  Hopefully, he won't have to force a square peg (Darin Ersted, Nick Swisher) into a round hole again and come up with someone that is actually suited to play the position at a level that the team desperately needs.

If not, it may be a long, dry summer.
