Butkus D. Dogg's Friday Fearless Forecast Week 16

I had a 7-3 week last week which is not too bad and keeps me inside the house as opposed to some of these other dogs who get left outside by their owners. I don't think I'd last five minutes.  The fat dog, on the other hand, at least has fur and multiple layers of fat and would survive much better than I would.

I love this new picture.  It looks like I'm trying to get a driver's license in Indiana.  Of course, if I lived in Indiana, I'd have nothing to smile about.  Say what you want about Wisconsin where I live, but at least Milwaukee is an actual city where they stay up late and drinking is allowed.  Indianapolis is Schaumburg in the middle of a corn field for crying out loud.

College football is over for the moment and we'll have our annual "Bowl Extravaganza" out for you next Friday.

Until then, five pro, straight up:

  • Green Bay vs. Jacksonville: The Packers are desperate for a win and they'll be playing a team that just wants to make it go away.  If the Packers lose this one, they will burn down Ted Thompson's house.  Take Green Bay.
  • Minnesota vs. Arizona: The MVP for the Vikings this year is a Minnesota judge who keeps the Williams wall out on the field.  The Cardinals, flush from making the playoffs and winning the division for the first time since Don Coryell patrolled the sidelines will be a bit hung over.  This is a huge game for the Vikings, who are a game ahead of the Bears, who have already won.  Take Minnesota.
  • Detroit vs. Indianapolis.: Can you imagine what would happen if the Lions pulled off an upset over the Colts?  I can't either.  Take Indy
  • Pittsburgh vs. Baltimore: I love the Steelers defense, but you have to be able to score.  I think this becomes the coming out party for Joe Flacco.  Take Baltimore.
  • NY Giants vs. Dallas: Both teams are plagued by controversy, but the Giants mission is to put the Cowboys out of their misery and they will.  Take the Giants.
