Five Final Day Games We'll Be Keeping Our Eyes On

The final week of the NFL season is not without intrigue.  Here's just a few of the interesting games on the docket for today:
  • Detroit at Green Bay-If the Lions win and avoid 0-16, the Packer fans at Lambeau will immediately go over to Packer GM's Ted Thompson's house with lighted torches and set the place ablaze. They will blame Thompson for letting Brett favre go, even though the Packers disappointing season has nothing to do with the quarterback position, but with defense and special teams which have been underwhelming all year.
  • Dallas at Philadelphia-The Eagles have an opportunity to eliminate the Cowboys and possibly sneak into the playoffs as a wild card should both the Bears and Tampa lose.  I wonder if Donovan McNabb now understands how devastating that tie was. Speaking of McNabb, this may be his last game as an Eagle.
  • Oakland at Tampa Bay-The Raiders did win last week and a win today over the Bucs on the road would go a long way to Al Davis subscribing to Cable for a full year.
  • Miami vs. New York J-E-T-S Jets, Jets, Jets-Is this Brett Farve's final game (again?)  Does he live to play another day or does the Bill Parcells led Miami Miracle continue with a playoff appearance?
  • Buffalo vs. New England-Think Patriot fans would be a lot more at ease if Tom Brady was the QB?
  • Denver vs. San Diego-Should the Broncos lose tonight, Mike Shanahan should be fired immediately.  He won't be, but he should after blowing a lead in the weakest division in football and losing last week to Buffalo.
