Butkus D. Dogg's Friday Fearless Forecast Week 20

I'm in a great mood today.  My pick of Florida to win the BCS game made my final bowl record 22-12.  That's not bad for a dog.  Heck, it's pretty good for most humans.

This week, we've got four NFL games to choose from. Let's get doggin':

Arizona at Carolina: If you would have told me in September that either of these teams would get to this point in the playoffs, I would have demanded that you pee in a cup.  Seriously.  This game comes down to one word: Consistency.  The Panthers have been consistent most of the year while the Cardinals have been like Forest Gump's box of chocolates, you never know what you are going to get.  (Oh oh.  The fat dog was looking over my shoulder and saw the word chocolates and now he won't stop barking.)  Anyway, who knows if you will get the good Cardinals who looked great against Atlanta or the bad Cardinals who were beaten 47-7 by New England less than a month ago.  Take Carolina.

Baltimore at Tennessee: Baltimore looked great against Miami last week, but Miami is not that good to begin with.  It did give ravens QB Joe Flacco a little confidence.  He'll need it against a tough Titans defense.  The biggest thing for the Titans is injuries.   Are Albert Haynesworth and Kyle Vanden Bosh healthy enough to have an impact?  How about the loss of center Kevin Mawae?  In the final analysis, the Titans are at home and have had a week off to get ready for a team they know pretty well.  We all know in Nashville, miracles can happen.  The bald guy knows.  He was there.  Take Tennessee.

Philadelphia at New York Giants: The Eagles exchanged body blows with the Vikings Sunday before Michael Westbrook delivered the knock out punch.  This week it will be a little tougher for Son of Walrus and his team as they play a divisional opponent on the road in conditions that won't be nearly as bad as they were when these two teams hooked up in Jersey earlier this year.  The Giants have a healthy Brandon Jacobs and a defense that can shut anyone down.  The big question they have is how good are they without Plexico Burris?  The answer.  Not as good as they are with him.  UPSET ALERT.  Take Philly.

San Diego at Pittsburgh: This is by far the most interesting matchup of the weekend.  San Diego has been playing great defense, which they will have to since LT won't play.   Darren Sproles was terrific last week, but the Steelers will be ready for him.  If Troy Polamalu can shut down Antonio Gates and James Harrison does his usual job of sitting on quarterbacks, it could be a tough afternoon for the Chargers.  Pittsburgh's biggest worry will be what happens if Big Ben gets dropped on his noggin again.  Take Pittsburgh.
