White Sox Bolster Rotation With A Spash of Colon

Bartolo Colon
Give Chicago White Sox GM Kenny Williams credit.  While everyone is busy shopping the free agent market, Williams is busy looking on EBAY for retreads and bargain deals.  One of those bargains appears to be portly right hander Bartolo Colon.

How bad can this be?  If the guy is right, he could win as many games as Javy Vazquez without the drama.  If he's injury plagued as he has been the last few years, it's a small investment which won't bite the Sox in the payroll.  It's a win-win deal for the Sox.

The Sox who must convinced themselves that their pool of young pitchers aren't ready for prime time.  There's only one slot left for a group comprised of Clayton Richard, Aaron Poreda and possibly Lance Broadway.  There is he possibility of the Sox singing Ozzie Guillen relative by marriage Freddie Garcia which would complete the nice retro look of the Sox starting staff.

What's Kenny got up his sleeve next?  Jim Edmonds to solve the center field problem?  Maybe Minnie Minoso has a few innings left in him?

White Sox marketing guru Brooks Boyer is very excited about Colon joining the Sox and has already planned "Sumo Wrestling Night" when C.C Sabathia and the Yankees visit U.S. Comiskey Park.
