Several media outlets have reported that The Elderly Hillbilly is calling it a career.  Haven't we heard this before?

Is Favre really ready to retire, or is he suddenly going to feel better in July and force the Jets into either renouncing his rights or sending him somewhere else.

If he hadn't pulled this crap several times before, i wouldn't be so wary of it, but Favre has as much credibility with me as Al (Chicken Little) Gore.

Remember last year, it was "I'm done", teary press conference, weeks of denials and then GOTCHA!  It's no secret he hated playing for the Jets and since Rex Ryan appears to not be a Favre friendly coach,  Favre may be playing the retirement card again so he can be free to pursue his chosen career-that of quarterback of the Minnesota Vikings.

I wouldn't believe him if he said he wore number four and came from Mississippi.   I would hold off scheduling tributes to the guy until halfway through the pre-season to make absolutely sure he's not going to un-retire again.

Honestly, I don't think you've heard the last of him yet.
