Blackhawks Should Commit Chris Pronger To The Indian

I was listening to some of the Chicago Blackhawks broadcast on Sunday (that's a hockey team for you NBA fans) and between the second and third periods, they were talking about what the Hawks needs were going into the trading deadline.  it was agreed that although another center might be nice, a big, rugged defenseman would be the best idea.

The first name that popped into my head was Chris Pronger.  The guy is a beast.  Maybe not as much of a beast as he was with the Blues ten years ago, but a guy like Pronger keeps opponents from camping in front of your net and sets a certain tone for the game.  In addition, he would be able to help a lot of the younger guys on the squad with his experience.

No doubt, Hawks coach Joel Quinville is familiar with Pronger from his days with the Blues.

What really drove this notion home to me was our hero and role model also thunk it.  And he knows hockey.  I feel honored.
