Bears Not Likely To Call A T.O.

Now that T.O. has been released (or will be released) by the Dallas Cowboys, Bears fans are jumping on the T.O. bandwagon.  Here's a top flight receiver that's available that could really help shore up the lousy Bears receiving corps and perhaps become the most productive Bears receiver in memory.

In the words of Lee Corso "Not so fast my friend."

On paper, the idea is great.  In reality, there is no way in hell.

If there is one thing that Bears GM Jerry Angelo and Head Coach Lovie Smith hate is a guy with baggage.  Owens has enough to have to hire a separate U-Haul to carry it in.  In addition, any Bear who gets himself involved in a negative headline or situation is not long for the team.  Remember how Thomas Jones took some shots at Cedric Benson and disappeared after the season?  Remember how Benson was cut because he got caught drunk one too many times (and not because he sucked.)

Owens doesn't just ignite team chemistry, he blows it up like a nuclear weapon.

I cannot imagine T.O. bringing his act to Chicago, although I would embrace it.

I just don't think Jerry or Lovie would call a T.O. in this situation.
