Everything's Jake? Internet Reports Say White Sox Interested In Pods Peavy

The San Diego Union Times is reporting this morning that a trade may be on the horizon between the Chicago White Sox and San Diego Padres for pitcher Jake Peavy

The story, written by Tim Krasovic does not mention specific players. Other reports indicate the Padres are asking for four prospects.

The story says Peavy would like to stay in the National League and may be apprehensive about pitching for Ozzie Guillen.

The big question is, if you are Kenny Williams, what do you have to trade to make this happen?  If the Padres are looking for established prospects, perhaps Josh Fields and Brian Anderson, maybe an up and coming youngster Brett Lillibridge and then someone to replace Peavy in San Diego's rotation (Clayton Richard/Lance Broadway)

I do not believe that Kenny would make any trade involving some of the Sox premiere prospects like Gordon Beckham, Jordan Danks or Aaron Poreda.

If San Diego were looking for some guys still in need of development, try Cole Armstrong, Jon Link, Wes Whistler, Brandon Allen or John Shelby.

Too bad Kenny's already traded Michael Duby.

Personally, I'm not too sure this one will go down.  But, it will make Cub fans squirm which is almost as fun.
