Sox Machine reports that Aaron Poreda has gotten the call and will join the White Sox in Chicago.  Poreda broke the news on his Facebook page.  I'll bet Kenny Williams just loved that.

There is no word on who is the odd man out.  Sox Machine suspects it might be Jimmy Gobble, but it could also be Bartolo Colon.  Unless Colon is just keeping the chair warm for Freddie Garcia, if all things work out in Arizona and perhaps at Charlotte.

One thing is for certain: After last night, Jose Contreras isn't going anywhere.

It could be Poreda is coming up to give some relief to the tired arms in the long relief corps.  D.J. Corasco's is probably ready to fall off after his effort the last couple of days.

You may also suspect that maybe there is a deal going on here, with Poreda replacing say, Clayton Richard who is going to (Insert team here.)  That's highly doubtful though since Cowley, Gonzalez and the others haven't sniffed it out yet.
