Kenny Is Not Done Dealing Yet

In an effort to acquire even more infielders, the White Sox acquired Andy Cannizaro from Cleveland for cash considerations.  You would assume that after bringing in Jake Peavy and Alex Rios that Kenny had no cash left, but I guess he must have found some loose change in the bottom of his suitcase while packing in Seattle yesterday.

Cannizaro has had a little big league experience with both the Yankees and Rays, but isn't that good. He spent five years in the minors before even getting called up. Certainly he offers no help to the current pennant drive effort.

By the way, he is not related to former Cubs, Padres, Mets, Cardinals et. al. catcher Chris Cannizzaro who spells his name differently. Of course, you would have to be over forty or a real baseball nerd to even think that anyway.

Cannizaro will report to Charlotte.
