White Sox Have No Defense

How exactly do you give a six run lead back? Do you put yourselves on offensive cruise control? Do you kick the ball around enough times that you let the other team, a last place team going absolutely nowhere, back into the game?
Riddle me this: If you are so committed to catching the ball, why is your fielding percentage .959 (last in AL) and why are you tied for first in the league in errors (56) with Kansas City.
Unless the White Sox learn to catch the ball, the only thing they'll be catching in October is a tee time.
Pitch the ball, hit the ball and catch the f&^%ing ball.

Can't remember a Sox team this bad at fielding--at least one that was contending. Of course, the fact they are contending at this point is an accident of the division's overall performance level.
Last year, at after 117 games, they were a half-game out at 13 games above .500. Forget '07, but in '06 they were 25 games above .500 after 117 games...and 5½ games out.

It takes a toll on your pitchers. If mark Buehrle has to worry every time he throws a pitch if it is going to be caught, it takes away from his effort.
Defensively, this team does nothing to inspire their pitcher's confidence.
