White Sox Have No Friends In Red Sox

Mike Lowell and Victor Martinez, longtime thorns in the side of the White Sox combined for five RBIs yesterday in a 6-1 Red Sox win. If you'd like to see how either Lowell or Martinez has faired against the Sox, click on their name and that will give you all the career stats you'll need to have. Not to spoil it, but Martinez now has 16 jacks against the Sox. I'd like to put him, Lowell, Robinson Cano, Ryan Garko, Curtis Granderson and a couple others on a long boat ride to the Bermuda Triangle.
John Danks deserved better, but his offense let him down (again.) The final game of the series is this afternoon at U.S. Commiskey Park.
Lightning Round:
- The White Sox are taking it slow with "The Savior" Both of them, actually.
- It appears as if the 2010 White Sox will go in a different direction at DH and the days of one guy who can really hit and only hit as the DH are over. Unless of course Q gets hurt again.
- Larry's always stellar minor league report. (South Side Sox)
- Speaking of the White Sox minor league system, how did the Top 20 prospects fare in 2009? (Minor League Ball.com)
- I'm sort of on the fence on bringing back Scotty Pods next year. He seems to have down years in even numbered years. Here's one guy who is absolutely against it. (Good Guys Wear Black)\
- Just wondering: Couldn't Dewayne Wise give the White Sox the same kind of inspired numbers provided by Alex Rios for a lot less money? And there is no getting rid of this guy because his contract is ridiculous. Kenny thought he was getting Mags Ordonez, instead he got Jerry Owens.
- This is sad. It's sad that people even watch this crap.
- If you are making out your list and checking it twice for the upcoming holiday season, here's a little something for the White Sox fan that has everything. (Sports By Brooks)
