Butkus D. Dogg's Friday Fearless Forecast Week 2

You know the rules, five college, five pros, straight up. Here's goes nothing:
College
- Michigan vs. Notre Dame-This would have big game ten years ago, but tomorrow it's just two once proud programs slopping around against each other. Given the mess Rich Rod has Michigan in right now, I'll give the nod to Charlie Weis and the Irish this week. Take Notre Dame
- South Carolina vs. Georgia-The Old Ball Coach may have a trick or two up his sleeve, but given how poorly Georgia played last week and that this is their home opener, Mark Richt will have his Dogs ready. Take Georgia
- Kansas vs. UTEP-The Mike Price farewell tour continues against the Jayhawks which should chew up the Miners like Mark Mangino's pre-game meal. Take Kansas
- USC vs. Ohio State-I don't care what kind of Kool-Aid they serve in the Midwest, the Big Ten sucks. I mean really, really sucks. In fact, they have fallen way behind the SEC, Big 12 and Pac 10. That's why the Trojans will beat OSU again in a laugher. Take USC BIG.
- Purdue vs. Oregon-The Ducks need a nice, quiet game given what went down last week. Lucky for them, they are playing Purdue. Take Oregon
Pro
- Minnesota vs. Cleveland-So much irony, so little time. The Vikings are led by Quarterback Brett Favre who will be trying to get even with his coach from last year, Eric Mangini, who was fired by the Jets and hired by Cleveland. Farve likes Mangini as much as he likes pre-season workouts. I think the Browns are so bad, the Vikings could win on Sunday with Joe Kapp at quarterback. I mean, aren't he and Favre the same age? Take Minnesota.
- Detroit vs. New Orleans-New year, new coach, new outlook for the Lions. Maybe Sunday the Schwartz will be with them. Probably not. Take New Orleans.
- Denver vs. Cincinnati-Think the Broncos will miss Jay Cutler Sunday? Me thinks yes. Take Cincinnati
- Washington vs. New York Giants-This game may not live up to the hype. Then again it may. Washington has added some pieces on defense which may slow the Giants down, but I doubt will stop them. Take New York.
- Bears vs. Green Bay-At the risk of having the bald guy lock me in my crate for the weekend, I've got to say that Jay Cutler may be a good quarterback, but if a good quarterback has no receivers to throw to in a cheese shop, does he make a sound? The Bears defense will have to stop Aaron Rodgers and an outstanding corps of receivers led by Donald Driver and Greg Jennings. The Bears secondary has some very questionable parts, including Charles Tillman who is coming off back surgery and if he plays, seeing his first full speed, full contact action of the year. Matt Forte is a tough customer, but the Packers new 3-4 defense is geared to stop the run. So the Bears lack receivers, a defensive back field and defensive line push. Not a good thing against a potentially explosive Green Bay offense. Take Green Bay.
