Now I'm Angry: Hack Congresswoman Wastes Tax Dollar$ on Ripping Rush
Who is Congresswoman Sheila Jackson and what the hell does she think she is doing? Ms. Jackson came out on the floor of the house of Representatives yesterday to bash Rush Limbaugh's interest in the Rams (it's a couple of minutes in.)
My concerns about this are:
1) Rep. Jackson is from Texas, not Missouri and her hometown is Houston which plays in the AFC.
2) She spent three minutes speaking about something that does not involve her, her district, her state or the U.S. House of Representatives.
3) She wrongly says "Anybody that wants to call a quarterback in Pennsylvania and call himout - he happens to be African-American - as not being competent, just somebody that the media has promoted, not being talented. Interestingly enough, that football player is, happens to still be playing and doing a great job." That's not even close to what Rush said about Donovan McNabb. Oh yes, and apparently Ms. Jackson is now an NFL talent evaluator. Must have McNabb in her fantasy league.
4) This is nothing more than a way for a member of the house to get face time and invited on MSNBC. She must be in the middle of planning her re-election strategy.
5) She cannot understand why Rush would be interested in NFL ownership, except of course, for money. Does she not know Rush is a lifelong NFL fan? Does she not know that Rush has been employed in professional sports? Finally, on the aspect of Rush making a buck from the NFL, I'm sure her local guy, Bob McNair isn't in business to go broke. And if that's not enough, one only needs to travel a bit north to Dallas where Jerry Jones would tell you that he wants to roll around naked in money.
If you live in Houston's 18th district, please vote this woman out of office. She is an embarrassment to the voters and she is wasting your tax dollars on things that have nothing to do with you, your well being or your pursuit of happiness.
