Bearanoia Setting In
The Chicago Sun-Times reports that the Chicago Bears have refused any and all on-camera requests for NBC for their pre-game show on Sunday. This includes GM Jerry Angelo.
I'm not a big fan of pre-game interviews simply because I think it disrupts the mental process for players and coaches to have to stand there and answer stupid questions while they should be getting ready for the game.
Angelo, on the other hand, doesn't have much to do before a game, so I can't see couldn't talk. He obviously wants to duck the obvious questions about his construction of the team and Lovie Smith's future.
BTW, there is no debate about Lovie's future as the Bears do not pay coaches not to coach. 2011 is the first year Lovie will be able to be
fired without it costing the Bears more than they owe him.
Not a big deal, but it shows you just how tightly the wagons are circled at Halas Hall.
