Butkus D. Dogg's Friday Fearless Forecast Week 15

Boy, I had the week from hell last week.  I must have gotten too cocky and the law of averages did me in.  I had my worst week and my only losing week last time going 3-7.  I'm still 91-43 this year, but I feel bad.  I know you readers depend on me each week and I failed like the fat dog at his physical last week.

If I don't have a good week, the bald guy may replace me with Grandma.  She yelled so much during the Alabama game last week, I thought the fat dog sat on her foot.  My goodness, she gets into it.  I thought stomping around the living room shouting "kill Tebow" was a little much, however.  She sounded like the bald guy when Favre plays.  Except she didn't throw anything at the TV.  Or swear.  Or kick either the fat dog or myself.

No college until the bowl preview next week.  This week it's just five pro games, straight up.

Green Bay vs. Chicago: The Bears may get fired up for this one, but the Packers are beginning to click on all cylinders.  Their offense is pretty good and their defense may be better.  if the Bears couldn't run the ball against the Rams, they surely can't run it against the Packers 3-4 defense.  I know the bald guy is a Bear fan and he'd rather have be tied to a chair and forced to watch Dr. Phil, Sandra Lee and  Delilah pour their hearts out to Oprah than lose to the Packers, but I can't logically figure any way the Bears are going to get their act together long enough to take them out on Sunday. Take Green Bay

Cincinnati vs. Minnesota: The Vikings got schooled by Arizona last week and face another unsung opponent in the Bengals.  The Bengals have been inconsistent this year while the Vikings have been fairly stable.  By virtue of the fact this game is being played at the Rollerdome, the Vikings have a loud, home field advantage.  Take Minnesota.

Detroit vs. Baltimore: The Ravens played an ugly game last Monday night and lost to the Packers.  Even if they play an ugly game this week, they'll pound the Lions.  Take Baltimore.

Denver at Indianapolis: The Broncos could be the team that finally knocks off the Colts, but then again, Peyton Manning hasn't met a comeback this year he didn't like. Especially since Kyle Orton could easily run an hour down I-70 to West Lafayette and get slobberknockered at Jake's Roadhouse. Take Indianapolis.

San Diego vs. Dallas: The Boys are going into their usual December deep freeze while the Chargers are playing great, especially LT. Look for LT to have another great day on the ground.  Take San Diego.
