Butkus D. Dogg's Friday Fearless Forecast Week 16

I am one tired little poo dog.  First I had to write that big, long bowl preview.  You try doing that without opposable thumbs and see how easy it is.  Now, it's on to this weekend's pro games.

After the worst week I had all year, I rebounded to post a perfect 5-0. I'm 96-43 on the year. I am so proud of my little self, I think I'll go steal the fat dog's lunch.  On second thought, I'm proud not stupid.

Five pro games, straight up.

Chicago vs. Baltimore:  If I'm Bears quarterback Jay Cutler, I'm hearing Ray Lewis' footsteps in my sleep.  The Ravens are fighting for a wildcard while the Bears are looking forward to 2010. The fact that the Bears offensive line couldn't stop the employees of Charm City Cakes without holding or jumping offside is a dead giveaway that Lovie's team will have a less than chaming day in the Charm City.  Maybe that guy Diff could make them a cake.  Of course, if Cutler passes out the pieces, they'll wind up being taken away by the Baltimore secondary. Take Baltimore.

Arizona vs. Detroit:  The Cardinals are no strangers to playing inside and they can wrap up the NFC West with a win over Detroit.  The Lions are dreaming of a white Christmas and the opportunity to draft Ndamukong Suh.  Take Arizona

Green Bay vs. Pittsburgh:  I think I'll go out on a limb here.  The Packers are playing better than expected while the Steelers are playing lousy.  The law of averages has to catch up to these two teams sometime and Sunday could be it.  Take Pittsburgh

Cincinnati vs. San Diego: Normally, I'd just pick the Chargers who have played outstanding football the last couple of weeks.  But there are two things about the Bengals that can't be overlooked: One is they are a good team and two the unfortunate death of Chris Henry.  I think that could really motivate Cincinnati this weekend.  Take Cincinnati.

Minnesota vs. Carolina: The first week of national TV fawning over Brett Favre begins Sunday night with NBC (ESPN gets him next week.) Blah blah blah Favre this.  Blah blah blah Favre that.  Forget the Vikings are a pretty good team to begin with, it's all Favre all the time.  Unfortunately for the bald guy and others like him, it will be this weekend.  Take Minnesota.
