The Kids Can Play-For Kansas City

Back in the 1950's, the Kansas City Athletics served as an unofficial farm club for the New York Yankees.  Whenever the Yankees wanted to unload a player (i.e. Billy Martin), they simply shipped him off to baseball's version of Siberia, the Kansas City Athletics.. And whenever the Yankees needed a good player to plug in, the would go out and acquire him---from the Athletics.

It seems like everything is up to date in Kansas City with the Royals serving as a dumping ground for players the White Sox lost interest in.  First, Chris Getz and Josh Fields were shipped there.  Then, the Royals signed former White Sox outfielder Brian Anderson.  Former White Sox catcher Miguel Olivo just left Kansas City and the list of former Royals who have worn the silver and black is very lengthy.  It includes Mike MacUseless, D.J. Carasco, Ryan Bukvich, Jimmy Gobble and Horacio Ramirez.

The Kansas City Royals: Not just cellar dwellers, but Kenny Williams personal landfill.
