Brooking Is The Classless One

Yesterday, in the waning minutes of the Dallas-Minnesota playoff game, with Dallas down 27-3, Vikings quarterback Brett Favre threw a touchdown pass to make it 34-3.

This outraged Dallas linebacker Keith Brooking who immediately went to the Viking sideline and engaged Vikings coach Brad Childress in a lively conversation.  After the game, Brooking called the play "classless."

Hey, Keith, the only thing classless here is you.

Your team gave up six sacks, you offense couldn't get untracked all day and your defense couldn't stop anything.  Those are the facts.  You should be more concerned that your wacky owner doesn't fire your coach and trade you to Oakland.

Whether or not Brad Childress was channeling his inner Urban Meyer is irrelevant.  The facts are the Cowboys stunk out the Metrodome and not even a late touchdown changes that fact.

Here's an idea for you Keith.  Why didn't you guys prevent the touchdown?  You know, sack the quarterback, knock the ball away from the receiver.  You know, the thing good defenses do?

Yet after an awful effort by the entire Cowboy defensive team, Keith Brooking wants to point fingers and assess blame.  If you want to do that, Keith, I suggest you start in a mirror.

Actually, in reality, the classless thing to do would be to write an article trying to degrade a team that could've beat your precious little team. Although I don't agree that Keith handled this in the best way for his team and possibly his record,I do agree with what ha said: that supporters of your team (I.e. the coaches and YOU) remain classless to the rest of NFL viewers. I'd have to say I'm with Brooking on this one.
