Curling, A Game Of Inches, Especially When You Keep Missing By Them

Jeeze.  Talk about frustrating.  The U.S. Curling teams (that's men's and women's) can't seem to win.  And it's not like they are getting pounded like we do in Biathlon or Nordic Combined.  The US just can't hit a big shot.

U.S. Men's Skip John Shuster has had four opportunities to win matches and missed all of them, a couple by very thin margins.  The women, led by Debbie McCormick have had much the same luck.  I guess it's luck, because as little as I know about this sport these guys could be Curling's equivalent to the Detroit Lions.

Nothing drives you crazier then to invest three and a half hours in watching a curling match only to see your team lose by inches.  It's like watching baseball and having the relief pitcher constantly giving up walk off hits.

The U.S. has no chance at a medal and will play out the string the rest of the games.  Hopefully, the men can rebound tonight against France.  Just pop a paper bag and the French will think a war is breaking out and they will immediately surrender.
