I'm Chip Ramsey a career broadcaster who has been a sports radio program director in Milwaukee and Nashville. I've covered everything from high school and college sports (including the SEC, Big Ten, MVC and OVC) to Major League Baseball, The NFL and the NHL. I have a few things to say, and when I want to say them, I say them here.

Let's Hear It For The Boys

Give it up for Vancouver defenseman Sammy Salo. Shortly befor the end of the first period last night's 5-1 win over the Chicago Blackhawks, Salo made the ultimate sacrifice and took one for the team, blocking a shot with his boys.

Joe Micheletti, calling the game on Versus, said Salo "blocked a shot with a very sensitive area."

Salo's return for game six is currently in doubt. Reports indicate he is awake, alert and talking like Mickey Mouse. If worse comes to worse and the damage is long lasting, he'll be a hit at Bee Gees Karaoke night.
