Pennsylvaina Voters Close Specter
Fantastic news from Pennsylvania. Senator Arlen Specter (Officially, Specter lost because he switched parties because he believed it would get him re-elected. With logic like that, I wonder how this moron survived six terms (that's 36 years in real time.)
I would also hope that the voters of Pennsylvania were fed up with the Senator's grand standing. In the fall of 2008, the Senator held hearings to determine why the NFL Network wasn't on many local cable systems. Why? Because the Senator was and continues to be a wholly owned subsidiary of Comcast.
The fact that this man wasted thousands of taxpayer dollars trying to investigate televised football tells you everything you need to know about him. Where I come from, we call this a "boondoggle." Wasting one dollar of taxpayer money on the investigation of sports leagues and television is one dollar too many.
The good news for the people of Pennsylvania and the rest of us across this country is that the Senator now has plenty of free time to enjoy football. If he's smart, he'll get a dish.
