White Sox Sign First Round Pick Sale
The Chicago White Sox have signed their first round draft pick, pitcher Chris Sale (pictured). Sale was interviewed last night during the game and told Steve Stone "I hear the pitching coach at Winston Salem is pretty good." Hey, son, that pitching coach has a name, Bobby Thigpen, and up until a couple of years ago, he held the all-time single season record for most saves at 57. Gee, kid, learn some history will you? Bobby Thigpen isn't exactly Elroy Face or Hoyt Wilhelm. Even if you were a toddler when Bobby set the record, you should at least know his name.
The 6'6" 110 pound Sale will learn how to be reliever so he can take Randy Williams spot in the bullpen by August. Well, that's the plan, anyway.
Personally, I don't think this kid holds a candle to The Savior in terms of personality. But, whatever. If he can do the job, that's all that matters. Hopefully, someone will by him a steak or better yet, several double downs . There are also five Krispy Kreme locations within 20 miles of the ballpark, so let's this kid two dozen glazed and hope for the best.
In fact, maybe the White Sox should hire me to be his nutrition coach.
