Resilience, Thy Name Is White Sox

After being beaten soundly in every aspect of the game Tuesday night and looking like a fighter down for the count, the Chicago White Sox picked themselves off the canvas and delivered a few body shots of their own last night, pounding the Minnesota Twins 6-1.

John Danks pitched eight strong innings and Carlos Quentin, hitting seventh because Ozzie Guillen wants him to relax, added a home run to give the Sox and early 2-0 lead. Now you know why people respect Ozzie so much as a manager, because he gets results.

The Twins made several mental mistakes during the game last night in both the field and on the bases and looked far more mortal than the buzz saw that showed up at U.S. Comiskey Park Tuesday night.

I think getting the Sox out of this race will require a stake or a silver bullet. Keep those feet firmly planted on the bandwagon and hold firmly onto the rails.
