Stop Me If You've Seen This One Before

Here we go again.  The White Sox, surging to the top of the American League Central after a horrible start, get stopped dead in their tracks by the Minnesota Twins.

Justin Morneau?  DL.  Joe Mauer? DL.  Yet, somehow, Carl Pavano who has struggled this year, fashions a complete game. The Twins steal five bases and score three of their four runs in the third, the only bad inning that Sox starter Gavin Floyd had all night.

Let's just face reality, Sox fans: The Sox have the Twins in their heads.  It doesn't matter if Ron Gardenhire fielded  a team of blind paraplegics, the Sox cannot beat the Twins.

I could have lived with a walk off game.  I could have lived with an epic 0-0 pitching struggle deep into the eighth inning.  I could have lived with a 13-12 game.  But, as last night's game suggests, the Sox just continue to bend over, grease up and take it up the backside.  And, I for one, am sick to death of it.

The Twins are like the little boy in the "Emperors New Clothes", exposing the truth at the expense of the kool-aid drinking flunkies who actually think their guy is wearing a suit.  The truth is the Sox don't get clutch hits.  The truth is the Sox play weak defense.  The truth is the Sox couldn't throw out my 86 year-old mother-in-law despite the fact that she has two artificial knees (and is 86 years-old).  The truth is, these guys are a third place team despite the talent they have paid handsomely for. At least that's how it seems every time they play the Twins.

At least Cub fans were aware before the season that their team sucked.  White Sox fans were told that they were "all in."  The only thing that is all in about this Sox team is their tee times in early October while other teams are in the playoffs.

I try to stay positive and I am not giving up on this team yet, but I am damn sick and damn tired for being a doormat for Minnesota.  Fix this now.
