Butkus D. Dogg's Friday Fearless Forecast (Week 14)
Hello once again from Grandma's back porch in Alabama. Does it ever snow here? Jeeze, the weather right now is like summer where I came from.Last week, I was 7-3, but on the year I'm rolling at 89-33.
It's our last full week of college football prior to the bowls, so let's get down and dirty, shall we? Five college, five pro, let's ride the wave again...
College
- Northern Illinois vs. Kent State: Friday night it's the championship of the MAC Daddy. Northern Illinois has a very impressive quarterback, even though Kent State has played well. Take Northern Illinois.
- Texas vs. Kansas State: I thought Texas was pretty good, but after they lost last week to TCU, I'm not so sure. Bottom line is a BCS bid is on the line for K-State as they could head for the Sugar Bowl with a win. Take Kansas State.
- Nebraska vs. Wisconsin: Yawn. The Big Ten completes their worst season ever with their best team ineligible for a bowl game. This is a game between two ugly teams. Take Nebraska.
- Alabama vs. Georgia: If T.J. Yeldon can hang on to the ball, Bama has a date with the Irish. Besides, who gets tighter than Mark Richt and Aaron Murray in big games? Take Alabama.
- Stanford vs. UCLA: Groundhog Day. Take Stanford.
Pro
- Indianapolis vs. Detroit: Mr. Luck, meet Mr. Suh. Take Detroit.
- Minnesota vs. Green Bay: Minnesota has tamed some giants this year, but I'm thinking not at Lambeau Field. Take Green Bay.
- Seattle vs. Chicago: Seattle has won some and lost some, but the Bears usually do well against lesser teams. The problem is the Bears are injured. In the other hand, ever poke a wounded Bear? Take Chicago.
- Pittsburgh vs. Baltimore: If the Ravens can take out a healthy Pittsburgh team just a couple of weeks ago, imagine what they can do against a tem playing their third string quarterback, Take Baltimore.
- Philadelphia vs. Dallas: It's about time Al and Cris got a stinker. The Andy Reid farewell tour comes to Dallas. Take Dallas.
