Chip Ramsey's Super Bowl Recipes
Besides being a radio personality and a sports fanatic, I am also an above average home cook. I am not a chef, I am not a celebrity cook, I am simply a guy who likes messing around in the kitchen and occasionally hits a triple. From time to time during the football season, we have people over and throw some football parties or just throw one for ourselves. I am always collecting recipes to try new and bolder things.
Before I get to the actual recipes, here are some tips and tricks for your party:
1. Do as much in advance as you can. If you can have everything prepped the night before, you are ahead of the game. If your goal is to actually watch the game, that is a necessity.
2. Pick things within your comfort zone. Even if you come across the coolest recipie ever for something, don't try it for your friends and family until you've got it down cold.
3. Have hot and cold items. A nice meat and cheese plate, chips and dip or a veggie tray is perfect for your guests to munch on in case the hot apps are taking a while to heat up.
4. Try to make sure your hot apps all cook at the same temperature. That way, you don't need an extra oven.
5. On a large post it, make a list of your entire menu. On another large post it, put the cook times and temps of your menu. Stick them to a cabinet near the stove. Cross them off when you've done it. If you think being social, sneaking peaks and the TV and cooking will allow you to keep these facts in your head, you are sadly mistaken.
Okay, now here's the part you've been waiting for:
